Leading valve train manufacturer to offer the weekly Hard Charger award, along with year-end contingencies for the USCS Modified Series
COMP Cams®, the leading manufacturer of valve train products based in Memphis, TN, has recently finalized a new promotional program with the USCS (United Speed Contest Sanction) Modified Series. Under terms of the agreement, COMP Cams® will provide a $50 product gift certificate to the “hard charger” (driver/car who advances the most positions in the A-main race) at each of the 30+ scheduled events held throughout the mid-south region. In addition to the event awards, COMP Cams® will also provide year-end banquet awards to the top three finishers (1st - $500, 2nd - $250, 3rd - $125) in the USCS Modified Series final point standings and to the top ten finishers of the newly formed USCS Weekly Racing Series.
The agreement also states that COMP Cams® will be named the “Official Camshaft” that powers the 600+ horsepower racing engines of the USCS Modified Series cars for 2009. Only USCS Modified Series competitors that display the approved COMP Cams® decal on their race cars will be eligible to reap the benefits of the 2009 contingency program. In addition to the award contributions, COMP Cams® technical support personnel will be on hand at many events throughout the year to work hand-in-hand with the racers on their specific valve train needs.
Founded in 1976, COMP Cams® manufactures camshafts and supporting valve train components for everything from factory replacement to full race applications, designed and manufactured using cutting-edge technology. COMP Cams® has a long history of motorsports involvement that ranges from the grassroots level to professional series such as NASCAR and NHRA.
