New wave-dynamics engine simulation enables users to “look inside” a running engine & analyze the powerful wave dynamics controlling induction and exhaust flow
After nearly 20 years of application and continued testing, ProRacing Sim™ has just released Dynomation-5™ to help performance enthusiasts design or select engine components by performing dyno tests, comparing results and identifying the optimal combinations for over one thousand short block configurations, a wide variety of domestic and import induction systems, hundreds of forced-induction choices, and much more. Dynomation-5™ will help you reduce the cost and time of engine testing and development.
This redesigned software is easy enough for beginners to use and is highlighted by a 3D cutaway engine that gives users a “look inside”, showing piston motion, mass flow, flow velocities and intake and exhaust pressure waves. All of this data is rendered in real-time and synchronized with the wave-dynamics and crank-angle results graphs to allow users to see why certain parts perform well or uncover reasons for poor performance.
Dynomation-5™ incorporates two engine simulation models. The first is a Filling-And-Emptying simulation that provides extremely fast mathematical solutions to engine physics, making this technique a uniquely powerful and rapid way to ``ballpark`` engine design with accuracy. Number two is a full Wave-Dynamics Method-Of-Characteristics simulation that predicts complex pressure-wave dynamics and particle flow in intake and exhaust ducting. Data is seamlessly shared by both simulation models. Power, torque, engine pressures and more can then be displayed independently or in a HybridSim™, where simulation results from both methods are combined.
This new software runs on any Microsoft Windows-equipped PC (compatible with Windows98/Me/2000/XP & Vista), and its data is transferrable to all ProRacing Sim™ software.
